Description

Ensures the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and assets. Conducts regular patrols, monitors surveillance systems, and manages access control. Responds promptly to security incidents, assist in emergencies, and collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary. Upholds the hotel's security policies, provides customer service as needed, and maintains a professional demeanor. Requires vigilance, basic knowledge of security procedures, and strong interpersonal skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Surveillance: Monitor security cameras and patrol the hotel premises to identify and address any suspicious activities or security breaches.
  2. Access Control: Control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  3. Guest and Employee Assistance: Provide assistance to guests and employees, including providing directions and responding to inquiries.
  4. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as medical incidents or fire alarms, and coordinate with relevant authorities as needed.
  5. Incident Reporting: Document and report security incidents, accidents, or any unusual occurrences to the appropriate management.
  6. Safety Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any safety hazards.
  7. Crowd Control: Manage crowds during special events or busy periods to maintain order and safety.
  8. Loss Prevention: Prevent theft or damage to hotel property and guest belongings through vigilant observation and proactive measures.
  9. Alarm Monitoring: Respond to alarms and investigate the source of triggered alarms to determine if they are false alarms or genuine emergencies.
  10. Security Escort: Provide security escorts to employees or guests as required.

Qualifications Required

  1. Security Experience: Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not always required.
  2. Security Training: Completion of security training or certification programs is advantageous.
  3. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with guests, employees, and emergency responders effectively.
  4. Observation Skills: Strong observation skills to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities.
  5. Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to handle security incidents calmly and make quick decisions when necessary.
  6. Customer Service: A customer-focused approach to assist guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  7. Integrity: High ethical standards and integrity to uphold confidentiality and trust in security matters.
