Prep Staff
Description
Assists in daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients for chefs and line cooks. Washes, peels, cuts, and portions food items, organizes workstation and ensures all components are readily available. Maintains kitchen cleanliness, adheres to health and safety protocols, and restocks supplies as needed. Requires organizational skills, familiarity with essential kitchen equipment, and a commitment to maintaining food quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the culinary team in food preparation and cooking tasks
- Ensure all ingredients are properly measured, cut, and prepared according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Assist in inventory control and stock rotation
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations
- Perform any other duties assigned within the position's scope
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Stamina to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
